Hoshi The world’s oldest hotel according to Guinness, Hoshi Ryokan was established in 717 and has been operated by 46 generations of the same family. It offers hot-spring baths and traditional meals a 5-minute walk from Osshobe Park.Rooms at Hoshi have a tatami (woven-straw) floor and Japanese-style futon bedding. The wide windows look out on peaceful greenery. All rooms have a satellite TV, green tea and an en suite bathroom with bath.Nata Temple is a 10-minute drive from the ryokan, and Yamanaka Shikki Dentou Sangyo Kaikan Museum is a 30-minute drive away. JR Kaga-Onsen Train Station is a 30-minute drive, and a free shuttle is provided. On-site parking is free.You can relax with a massage, enjoy the sauna or sing karaoke. A hot-spring bath can be reserved for private use, for a fee. The hotel has a garden and a pottery gallery.A Japanese breakfast and traditional multi-course Kaiseki dinner are served at the dining room or in guests' rooms. Drinks and light fare are on offer at Japanese-style pub Koiki and at Garyo's Bar.
